Arrival & Departure Information

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

To ensure adequate time for us to prepare the property for the next guest we have check in & out times.

Check in time is 3.00pm

Check out time is 10.00am

Should you require a guaranteed early check in or late checkout, we recommend the purchase of an additional night.

We will do our best to accommodate early check in’s / late check-out requests where possible, however this decision is at the discretion of Hearn’s Port Fairy Accommodation’s Housekeeping Manager as it is dependent on cleaning schedules across our portfolio.

KEY COLLECTION

Upon your booking confirmation, approximately 3 days prior to your arrival, you will be sent a ‘Pre Arrival’ email outlining how you will be expected to Check In. Keys are to be collected on your arrival date from the advised location, this can be done outside of business hours for all properties.

LINEN

Every property has all bathroom and bedding linen provided. Guests looking to go swimming at the swimming pool or one of our many beaches are required to bring their own beach towels for their stay – we do not provide beach towels. We ask that guests refrain from using the provided bathroom sheets / towels at the beach or swimming pool, penalty / cleaning fees may apply.

WHAT IS PROVIDED

Every property is provided with basic household / pantry items such as; toilet paper, soap, dish-washing liquid, dishwasher powder or tablets, tea, coffee, sugar, garbage bags etc.

Once the property in which you are occupying is depleted of such complimentary items, it is up to the occupant to supply the necessary items for the further duration of their stay, although please note this does not mean for the next occupancy.

CLEANING

The property is to be left in a clean and tidy state. This is inclusive but not limited to the following:

Dishes/utensils washed, dried and put away including any items in the dishwasher prior to departure. Any utilised items not cleaned or put away will incur an additional $30 fee.

All Food and Perishable items are to be removed from the refrigerator and/or cupboards and disposed of in the bins provided. A fee of $30 will be incurred for non-compliance.

Used Bathroom linen is to be left in wet areas i.e laundry / bathroom.

After use, please clean the BBQ with the provided BBQ wipes that will be located in close proximity to the provided BBQ. Should this not be left clean, a $ 45.00 BBQ cleaning fee will be charged. Every effort is made to ensure gas bottles (including house gas bottles) contain enough gas for your stay; however we are not able to predict if they will run out. In this case please call (03) 5568 3150 to arrange replacement as soon as possible.

Additional Cleaning Expenses (property left outside an acceptable state) –

Any nauseous cleaning will incur an additional charge at the discretion of Hearn’s Port Fairy Accommodation management. A cleaning charge of $75.00 per hour will be incurred if this condition is not adhered to. This $75.00 per hour (per cleaner) cleaning charge is also applicable in the case that the property has taken outside the normal allocated cleaning time.

SECURING PROPERTY:

The property is to be left secured with all windows and doors closed and locked, lights turned off, heating, fans and air conditioning turned off. All small appliances should be turned off, unplugged and returned to their place of origin.

The Guest may be liable for any loss/damages resulting in time between property is vacated and Post Departure is conducted, if property is not secured as per above.

‘PEST CONTROL’ – Black Field Cricket

You may notice a number of black field crickets around (and sometimes in) your accommodation, especially around our holiday homes located on or very near the coast.

Crickets are a seasonal insect and most prevalent throughout Port Fairy in late summer and early autumn. The onset of cold weather will kill them off quickly.

Crickets are not harmful and are not cockroaches.

We are making every effort to ensure that your accommodation is free of crickets, but they are able to enter premises through very small gaps and are particularly attracted to light. Keeping screen doors closed and minimising bright light will assist in keeping them outdoors.
